Republic Act No. 8375, enacted on November 13, 1997, establishes the Punta Buri National High School in Barangay Punta Buri, Municipality of Ajuy, Province of Iloilo. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with issuing necessary rules and regulations to implement the Act. Funding for the school will be included in the General Appropriations Act for the following year and thereafter. The Act took effect upon its approval and lapsed into law without the President's signature, as permitted by the Constitution.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8375
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY PUNTA BURI, MUNICIPALITY OF AJUY, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, TO BE KNOWN AS THE PUNTA BURI NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be established a national high school in Barangay Punta Buri, Municipality of Ajuy, Province of Iloilo, to be known as the Punta Buri National High School.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
