Punishment for Minors for Disrespect and Disobedience
Act No. 4002, enacted on December 5, 1932, establishes penalties for minors who show disrespect or disobedience to their parents, guardians, or caregivers. ACT NO. 4002
AN ACT TO PUNISH MINORS FOR DISRESPECT AND DISOBEDIENCE TO THEIR PARENTS, GUARDIANS OR PERSONS HAVING CHARGE OF THEM
SECTION 1. Any minor guilty of disrespect and disobedience to his parents, guardians or persons having charge of such minor shall be punished by arresto menor in its minimum degree.
If he be less than eighteen years of age, the provisions of article eighty of Act Numbered Thirty-eight hundred and fifteen, known as the Revised Penal Code, shall be observed.
SECTION 2. No action shall be instituted for violation of this Act except upon a complaint signed and filed by the aggrieved parents, guardians or persons having charge of the minor.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
