Prohibition of the Display of License Plates, Car Stickers, and Similar Items Bearing the Supreme Court Seal and/or Indicating Connection with the Judiciary on Privately-Owned and/or Non-Official Court Vehicles
The OCA Circular No. 108-2023, issued on March 10, 2023, reminds all judges and court personnel of the prohibition against displaying items such as license plates and car stickers that bear the Supreme Court seal or indicate a connection to the judiciary on privately-owned or non-official court vehicles without proper authorization. This directive follows the Court En Banc Resolution from July 5, 2022. Employees currently displaying such items are ordered to remove them immediately, as unauthorized displays may result in disciplinary sanctions. Additionally, those who assist in the unauthorized use of these items will also face disciplinary actions.

| SUBJECT | : | Prohibition of the Display of License Plates, Car Stickers, and Similar Items Bearing the Supreme Court Seal and/or Indicating Connection with the Judiciary on Privately-Owned and/or Non-Official Court Vehicles |
For your information and strict observance, quoted hereunder is Memorandum Order No. 35-2023 dated 28 February 2023 (Re: Prohibition of the Display of License Plates, Car Stickers and Similar Items Bearing the Supreme Court Seal and/or Indicating Connection with the Judiciary on Privately-Owned and/or Non-Official Court Vehicles) of Honorable Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, thus:
1. All employees of the Judiciary are REMINDED to follow Court En Banc Resolution dated July 5, 2022 in A.M. No. 22-05-05-SC, prohibiting the display on privately-owned and/or non-official Court vehicles without authorization from the Court, of license plates, car stickers and similar items bearing the Supreme Court seal and/or indicating connection with the Judiciary.
2. Employees concerned who are using or displaying license plates, car stickers and similar items bearing the Supreme Court seal and/or indicating connection with the Judiciary, on privately-owned and/or non-official Court vehicles without authorization from the Court. are DIRECTED to immediately remove them, otherwise sanctions will be imposed in case illegal use or unauthorized display thereof is traced to any employee of the Court.
3. Employees who abet the unauthorized use or display of license plates, car stickers and similar items bearing the Supreme Court seal and/or indicate connection with the Judiciary, on privately-owned and/or non-official Court vehicles without authorization from the Court, shall be SUBJECTED to disciplinary action.
