REPUBLIC ACT NO. 226
AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF THE EMBLEM, OFFICIAL SEAL, AND NAME OF THE UNITED NATIONS FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, association or corporation to use, directly or indirectly, the emblem, official seal and name of the United Nations, both in its full and in its abbreviated form, for commercial or business purposes.
SECTION 2. Any person, association or corporation violating the provisions of this Act shall upon conviction be liable to a fine of not more than one thousand pesos or imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year, or both, at the discretion of the Court. In case the violation is committed by a corporation or association, the penalty shall be imposed upon the president, director, or any other officer thereof responsible for such violation. The goods and articles upon which the emblem, seal or name of the United Nations have been used shall be confiscated in favor of the Government.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
