Prohibition Against Importation of the Britten-Norman Islander Aircraft
Letter of Instructions No. 343, issued on December 4, 1975, mandates that the importation of Britten-Norman Islander aircraft, whether complete or in parts, is restricted solely to the Philippine Aerospace Development Corporation (PADC) as part of its manufacturing program. Additionally, any importation of similar aircraft requires certification from PADC to ensure it aligns with this program. The Central Bank Governor, in collaboration with relevant agencies, is tasked with formulating the necessary regulations, including defining the types of aircraft affected by these instructions.
