AUTHORIZING AN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF THE 22ND ORIENT SOUTHEAST ASIAN LIONS (OSEAL) FORUM ON NOVEMBER 17-19, 1983, AND AUTHORIZING IT TO CONDUCT A FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1, 1983 TO NOVEMBER 25, 1983
WHEREAS, the Lions International Multiple District 301 is a civic organization, affiliated with the International Association of Lions Clubs and composed of a group of civic-spirited citizens and outstanding businessmen committed to the promotion of world peace, understanding and service to fellowmen;
WHEREAS, the local organization of the Lions International which is known as Multiple District 301 has taken steps in pursuing the national government's program of promoting the Philippine as a tourist and convention destination; cd
WHEREAS, the delegate attendance to both conventions will together total to around 20,000 which will boost the country's trade and tourism industries;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize an Executive Committee to take charge of the 22nd OSEAL Forum and authorizing it to conduct a fund campaign for the period from January 1, 1983 to November 25, 1983 to raise funds to be spent for the purpose.
