Philippine National Flag to be Flown at Half-Mast
On August 14, 2021, OCA Circular No. 113-2021 was issued, directing all Executive Judges and Judges of Single Sala Courts to fly the Philippine National Flag at half-mast from August 16 to 20, 2021. This directive honors the passing of retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Jose P. Perez, who previously served as Court Administrator. The action is in accordance with R.A. No. 8491, the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines. Compliance with this order is mandated for all concerned parties.

In honor and as a sign of mourning on the passing of retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Jose P. Perez, who was formerly the Court Administrator before being appointed as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, and pursuant to the pertinent provisions of R.A. No. 8491, known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines, the Philippine National Flag in all Halls of Justice shall be flown at half-mast from 16 to 20 August 2021.
