Participation of Qualified Voters of Oroquieta City in Provincial Elections of Misamis Occidental

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6726
AN ACT ALLOWING QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF OROQUIETA TO VOTE IN PROVINCIAL ELECTIONS OF THE PROVINCE OF MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FIFTY-FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN
SECTION 1. Section One hundred five of Republic Act Numbered Fifty-five hundred and eighteen, entitled "An Act Creating the City of Oroquieta," is hereby amended to read as follows: casia
"Sec. 105. Participation in election of provincial officials. — The voters of the City of Oroquieta shall be qualified and entitled to vote in the election of provincial governor, provincial vice-governor, and members of the provincial board of the Province of Misamis Occidental, and any of such qualified voters can be a candidate for any provincial office."
SECTION 2. All existing laws or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its publication in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
