Notice to Veterans Administration of Motions or Petitions Relative to Certain Guardianship Proceedings
Republic Act No. 146, enacted on June 14, 1947, mandates that in guardianship proceedings involving estates derived from the United States Veterans Administration, notice of motions or petitions must be served to the Veterans Administration at least twenty days prior to the hearing. This requirement overrides the standard notice provisions outlined in the Philippine Rules of Court to ensure the Veterans Administration has adequate time to respond or send a representative. The Act aims to protect the interests of veterans by ensuring their administration is duly informed and involved in relevant legal proceedings. It took effect immediately upon approval.
