National Heroes Day
Act No. 3827, enacted on October 28, 1931, establishes the last Sunday of August each year as an official holiday known as National Heroes Day in the Philippines. This law recognizes and honors the contributions of national heroes. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval.

ACT NO. 3827
AN ACT TO DECLARE THE LAST SUNDAY OF AUGUST OF EVERY YEAR AS AN OFFICIAL HOLIDAY TO BE KNOWN AS THE NATIONAL HEROES DAY
SECTION 1. The last Sunday of August of every year is hereby declared as an official holiday to be known as the National Heroes Day.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
