PROCLAMATION NO. 2121

AUTHORIZING THE "LUNGSOD NG KABATAAN" TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN

WHEREAS, the Lungsod ng Kabataan has been created under Presidential Decree No. 1631 dated August 10, 1979, for the Filipino people, primarily to benefit the children of the Philippines, further enhance the research in pediatric diseases, training of medical and technical personnel, and specialized medical services for the prevention and treatment of children's diseases; and

WHEREAS, to realize its laudable objectives the Lungsod ng Kabataan needs the financial support of the private and public sectors;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Lungsod ng Kabataan to conduct a nationwide fund drive for a period from November 1, 1981 to October 31, 1982.

I call upon all citizens and residents, private and government institutions and corporations to give generously on their means in order to help realize this humanitarian endeavor. All donations and contributions to the Lungsod ng Kabataan shall be exempt from all taxes and the same shall constitute allowable deductions in full for income tax purposes of donors. cd
