PROCLAMATION NO. 2317
AUTHORIZING THE BOY SCOUT OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 1983, TO AUGUST 31, 1984
WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, in its program of character building and citizenship training among the youth, has amply demonstrated, during its more than 50 years of existence, that it merits the continued moral and financial support of the people;
WHEREAS, with its present membership of close to two million boys and adult leaders all over the country, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines exerts a tremendous influence in the development of a responsible citizenry imbued with a deep sense of nationhood; and
WHEREAS, the yearly fund drive of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines will once again give our people the opportunity to contribute to and insure the continuity of a worthy cause;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorized the Boy Scouts of the Philippines to conduct a national fund campaign from September 1, 1983 to August 31, 1984. casia
I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to give their unlimited support to this fund drive.
