MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 70-B
MODIFYING MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 70, AS MODIFIED, AUTHORIZING THE SECRETARY OF GENERAL SERVICES TO PROVIDE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR, AND MAKE PREPARATIONS FOR THE CONVENING OF, THE CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES
In view of the immediate necessity of providing adequate premises and facilities for the Congress of the Philippines and the shortness of time within which to accomplish this undertaking, Memorandum Order No. 70, as modified by Memorandum Order No. 70-A, is hereby further modified by adding the following paragraph:
"5. For these purposes, the Secretary of General Services is hereby authorized to conduct a simplified bidding or enter into a negotiated contract with qualified contractors for the renovations, repairs, and improvements on the Batasang Pambansa Complex and the National Capital Region Building of the Commission on Audit and their premises, and with qualified manufacturers of equipment, furniture, air-conditioning units, computers and micro-processors, and other facilities which may be needed by both houses of Congress. He is thereby authorized to approve and sign the necessary contracts relevant to this particular undertaking." acIHDA
This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
