SUPREME COURT MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 10-07
PROVIDING AN INTERIM SECURITY PROCEDURE TO IMPROVE THE SECURITY FOR JUSTICES AND JUDGES
WHEREAS, members of the judiciary are continuously exposed to violent attacks from would-be assassins and there are no existing security protocols to be followed by justices and judges in case threats to their security or safety are presented before them; ECaITc
WHEREAS, the court through the Chief Justice has issued Memorandum Order No. 18-2007, dated 11 May 2007 which reconstituted the Committee on Security;
WHEREAS, in the Committee on Security meeting held last August 3, 2007, the Committee has resolved to provide the justices and judges with an interim procedure to improve their security and safety;
WHEREAS, the Committee on Security has resolved to designate two (2) contact persons whom justices and judges under threat should contact in order to provide them with additional security, to wit: Deputy Court Administrator Reuben P. dela Cruz from the Office of the Court Administrator and Atty. Allan C. Contado, Chief of the Anti-Graft Division of the National Bureau of Investigation and Liaison Officer of the Task Force Judiciary Protection.
NOW THEREFORE, Deputy Court Administrator (DCA) Reuben P. dela Cruz and Atty. Allan C. Contado are hereby designated as contact persons of all justices and judges in case of threats to their security or safety are present. Their contact numbers are as follows:
