Batas Pambansa Blg. 469, enacted on June 10, 1983, integrates and converts the Morong National Comprehensive School and the Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School in Morong, Rizal, into the Rizal Technological and Polytechnic Institute. The institute is authorized to expand its curriculum to include collegiate courses as permitted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. Existing funding for the two schools will be transferred to the new institute, which will also receive future appropriations for its operations. The act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on April 9, 1984.

AN ACT INTEGRATING AND CONVERTING THE MORONG NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL AND THE TOMAS CLAUDIO MEMORIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, ALL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MORONG, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, INTO A TECHNOLOGICAL AND POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE TO BE KNOWN AS THE RIZAL TECHNOLOGICAL AND POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE
SECTION 1. The Morong National Comprehensive School and the Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School, all in the Municipality of Morong, Province of Rizal, are integrated and converted into a technological and polytechnical institute, to be known as the Rizal Technological and Polytechnic Institute.
SECTION 2. In addition to its present curricular offerings, the institute shall offer such collegiate courses as may be authorized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
SECTION 3. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports shall take the necessary steps for the immediate implementation of this Act.
SECTION 4. All existing appropriations for the Morong National Comprehensive School and the Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School are hereby transferred to the Rizal Technological and Polytechnic Institute, to be disbursed in accordance with the provisions of this Act. The necessary sum for the operation and maintenance of the new institute shall be provided for in subsequent General Appropriations Acts, until which time the operation of the institution as an institute shall be deferred, provided that its new name shall take effect upon approval of this Act. acd
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
