Indefinite Suspension of the Implementation of CMO 22, s. 2010
CHED Memorandum Order No. 017-11, issued on July 29, 2011, indefinitely suspends the implementation of CMO 22, s. 2010, which provided enhanced guidelines for the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) for all programs with practicum subjects, effective from the second semester of AY 2011-2012. In accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (R.A.) 7722 otherwise known as Higher Education Act of 1994, and Commission En Banc Resolution No. 155-2011, the implementation of CMO 22, s. 2010 "Enhanced Guidelines for Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) for All Programs with Practicum Subject" is hereby declared indefinitely suspended by the Commission effective Second Semester AY 2011-2012. cEASTa
As such, Office of Student Services (OSS), in coordination with International Affairs Service (IAS) is tasked to convene interagency meetings with representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Bureau of Immigration (BI), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), and other concerned entities to discuss various issues in the implementation of CMO No. 22, s. 2010.
This order shall take effect immediately until otherwise revoked.
