Increasing the Daily Subsistence Allowance in the AFP, PNP, BFP, BJMP, PNPA, PCG and NAMRIA
Joint Resolution No. 5, approved on March 27, 2015, increases the daily subsistence allowance for various personnel in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and other uniformed services from ninety pesos (P90.00) to one hundred fifty pesos (P150.00), effective January 1, 2015. This adjustment recognizes the vital roles of these personnel and addresses the inadequacy of their current allowances in light of rising costs of living. The resolution mandates the Department of National Defense and other relevant agencies to implement the necessary rules and regulations. Funding for this increase will come from the savings of several government departments and will be included in future General Appropriations Acts.
