REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11884
AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE BALINDONG DISTRICT HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF WATO-BALINDONG, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR, FROM TEN (10) TO FIFTY (50) BEDS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Balindong District Hospital in the Municipality of Wato-Balindong, Province of Lanao del Sur, is hereby increased from ten (10) to fifty (50) beds. Any future increase in bed capacity shall be consistent with the hospital development plan that shall be prepared by the Chief of Hospital of the Balindong District Hospital, and submitted to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao-Ministry of Health.
SECTION 2. The existing professional health care services and facilities of the Balindong District Hospital shall also be upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in bed capacity as provided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. The existing workforce of the Balindong District Hospital, which includes doctors, nurses, and support personnel, shall be increased correspondingly.
SECTION 4. The Bangsamoro Autonomous Government shall provide the necessary funds to cover the maintenance and other operating expenses of the Balindong District Hospital. It shall also appropriate funds for the additional human resource complement to support the increase in bed capacity and the corresponding upgrading of its service facilities and professional health care services.
SECTION 5. The Secretary of the Department of Health shall include in the Department's subsidy program, support for the capital outlay requirements of the Balindong District Hospital.
SECTION 6. All laws, decrees, executive orders, rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or amended accordingly.
SECTION 7. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
