The Supreme Court represented by Clerk of Court Ma. Luisa D. Villarama has entered into a contract for medical services with the Medical Services Marketing and Development Corporation (MED SERV) for the benefit of the Honorable Members and the personnel of the Supreme Court.
Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno has given instructions to immediately study the feasibility of a similar program to benefit the judges and personnel of the Regional Trial Courts, Shari'a District Courts, Metropolitan Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts in Cities, Municipal Trial Courts, Municipal Circuit Trial Courts and Shari'a Circuit Courts.
The present service provider (MED SERV) was given a period of two (2) weeks within which to submit a proposal for the purpose. Preliminarily, it has been proposed that for a contribution of P100.00 a month or P1,200.00 a year, each member may, for the covered year, be entitled to benefits amounting to P100,000.00 per illness.
On the other hand, the intended beneficiaries, the judges and the lower court personnel have to provide the Supreme Court with information on the acceptability of the project. For this purpose, and within the same period of two weeks counted from receipt hereof, you are hereby directed to report to the Supreme Court through the Court Administrator the names and total number of judges and personnel within your area of responsibility who are willing to join the program.
