Inclusion of 371,159 Attainment of Poverty Reduction Targets in the Performance Appraisal of Local Chief Executives
On August 11, 1995, a memorandum from the President directed the Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government to incorporate the achievement of local poverty reduction targets into the performance evaluations of local chief executives. This directive followed recommendations from a Cabinet-Governors Anti-Poverty Workshop. The Secretary is required to submit a compliance report by August 31, 1995, to the President's office and relevant officials involved in the Social Reform Agenda.

| SUBJECT | : | Inclusion of 371,159 Attainment of Poverty Reduction Targets in the Performance Appraisal of Local Chief Executives |
Pursuant to the recommendations of the Cabinet-Governors Anti-Poverty Workshop held today, you are hereby directed to include the attainment of local poverty reduction targets in the performance appraisal of local chief executives.
Submit a compliance report on the matter to my office, through the Office of the Executive Secretary, copy furnished the Lead Convenor, Social Reform Agenda and Head, Presidential Management Staff, not later than 31 August 1995.
