Holding of Certain Civil Service Examinations Once Every Two Years

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1147
AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE HOLDING OF CERTAIN CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATIONS ONCE EVERY TWO YEARS AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATIONS OF FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. Within one hundred twenty days from the date of release of the fund herein authorized to be appropriated and at least once every two years thereafter, the Bureau of Civil Service shall give first and second grade and regular and promotional junior teachers civil service examinations in the City of Manila and in such other places as the Commissioner of Civil Service may determine, the results of which shall be released within nine months from the date of each examination.
SECTION 2. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purpose of this Act. Thereafter, the necessary funds for the same purpose shall be provided in the annual General Appropriations Act.
