LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 5
HARNESSING PRIVATE SECTOR AND CIVIL SOCIETY FOR REVENUE COLLECTION TRANSPARENCY AND INTEGRITY
I, GLORIA M. ARROYO, President of the Philippines, hereby instruct the Department of Finance, the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Bureau of Customs to propose a government-civil society body similar to the Procurement Transparency Group, to monitor collection efforts, gather lifestyle and corruption information, and follow up major evasion or smuggling cases, the latter in close coordination with the Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group.
