Guidelines in the Determination of Courses Curriculum

CHED MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 43-07

In accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act No. 7722, otherwise known as the "Higher Education Act of 1994," and by virtue of CHED En Banc Resolution No. 490-2007 dated July 21, 2007, determination by Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) of courses curriculum shall be governed by the following guidelines:
1. The HEI, in its application for permit to operate a new program, shall include the curricula of the courses which the HEI will offer for determination of the CHED Regional Office of its compliance with the minimum requirements set by the Commission. Non-compliance by the HEI with the minimum requirements shall be considered as a deficiency and must be complied within a reasonable period before approval of the application is issued.
2. Integration by HEIs of NEW SUBJECTS to the approved curriculum shall be allowed provided the minimum requirements set by the Commission are complied with.
3. The curriculum which contains the new subjects shall be applicable only to incoming freshman students of the HEI.
All rules and regulations, other issuances or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with this CMO, are hereby repealed or modified accordingly. ICTDEa
This CMO shall take effect fifteen (15) days after complete publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
