LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 426

You are hereby directed to implement the increase of the minimum wage provided under Presidential Decree No. 928, for full-time employees of the National Government and for employees of government-owned or controlled corporation, under the following guidelines: aisa dc
1. If the daily wage of an employee is less than ten pesos (P10.00), his daily wage shall be increased to ten pesos (P10.00).
2. If the monthly salary of an employee is less than three hundred pesos (P300.00), his monthly salary shall be increased to three hundred pesos (P300.00).
3. The basis for the increase of the daily wage or monthly salary of an employee shall be the actual wage or salary including all percentage adjustments and cost of living allowance, but excluding subsistence, clothing, laundry, and similar allowances already received. cdt
4. The Commissioner of the Budget shall issue the appropriate rules and regulations to implement this Letter of Instructions.
5. This wage or salary increase shall take effect May 1, 1976.
A similar upgrading in the salaries of employees of local government may be implemented, subject to availability of funds for the purpose as may be determined by the Secretary of Finance. cd
