BI OPERATIONS ORDER NO. JHM-2017-004
GUIDELINES FOR BRAZILIANS OVERSTAYING BEYOND AN INITIAL 59-DAY ADMISSION
WHEREAS, FSC 21-10 provides allowable gratis extension for Brazilians (39 days in addition to 59 days);
WHEREAS, there is a need to set concrete guidelines on when the gratis extension shall be recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, a gratis extension for Brazilian national shall be recognized only upon application for extension PRIOR to the expiration of the 59 days initial stay.
Hence, Brazilians with exceeding 59 days initial stay without prior application for gratis extension shall be considered overstaying. They shall pay corresponding extension fees and fines.
This Operations Order shall take effect immediately.
Send copies of this Operations Order to the Office of the National Administrative Register, UP Law Center, Diliman, Quezon City.
