Grant of Philippine Citizenship to Mahmoud A.M. Asfour
Republic Act No. 9338, enacted on July 28, 2005, grants Philippine citizenship to Mahmoud A.M. Asfour, conferring upon him all associated rights and privileges. Following the taking and registration of his oath of allegiance to the Republic, Asfour will fully enjoy his new citizenship. The law took effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and two major national newspapers, which occurred on August 4, 2005.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9338
AN ACT GRANTING PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP TO MAHMOUD A.M. ASFOUR
SECTION 1. Mahmoud A.M. Asfour is hereby granted Philippine citizenship with all the rights, privilege and prerogatives appurtenant thereto.
After the taking and registration of the oath of allegiance to the Republic of the Philippines, Mahmoud A.M. Asfour shall enter into the full enjoyment of Philippine citizenship. TSEAaD
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or in at least two national newspapers of general circulation. iatdc3up05
