General Guidelines for the Accreditation of Tissue Culture Laboratories for the Production of Quality Planting Materials

DA Administrative Order No. 07-12Other Rules and Procedures

DA Administrative Order No. 007-12 outlines the guidelines for the accreditation of tissue culture laboratories in the Philippines, ensuring the production of quality planting materials under the Seed Industry Development Act of 1992. Applicants for accreditation can include individuals, cooperatives, associations, and government entities that meet specific production standards. The accreditation process requires submission of various documents, compliance with laboratory infrastructure and equipment standards, and adherence to good tissue culture practices. The Bureau of Plant Industry is tasked with overseeing the accreditation and will perform yearly evaluations to maintain standards. Accredited laboratories benefit from government procurement preferences and must display their accreditation details prominently.
