General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 1945 to 1946

COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 674

AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIPPINES BEGINNING JULY FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-FIVE, UNTIL THE GENERAL APPROPRIATION ACT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE THIRTIETH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX, IS APPROVED

SECTION 1. Pending approval of the General Appropriation Act for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and forty-six, the sums necessary to pay the salaries and wages of all officers and employees who, on August fifteen, nineteen hundred and forty-five, are actually rendering service to the Commonwealth Government under items of appropriations authorized in Commonwealth Act Numbered Six hundred and fifty-four and in Administrative Order Numbered Five, dated May twenty-five, nineteen hundred and forty-five, and in Executive Order Numbered Eighteen-W, dated August thirty-first, nineteen hundred and forty-four, as well as the sums necessary to pay the running and incidental expenses of activities provided in said Act and Administrative and Executive Orders which, on August fifteen, nineteen hundred and forty-five, are in actual operation, are hereby appropriated for the operation of the Government of the Commonwealth of the Philippines for a period of three months beginning July first, nineteen hundred and forty-five. The following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are likewise hereby appropriated, for the objects and purposes herein specified for the operation of the government branches concerned for a period of three months beginning July first, nineteen hundred and forty-five: aCHDST

OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

Special and General Purposes

1.	For the operating expenses of the National Board
	of Inquiry created by Executive Order No. 53,
	dated June 8, 1945; Provided, That this
	appropriation shall be available to cover
	expenditures incurred on and after June 8, 1945	P12,500.00

 

DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE

Special Purposes

1.	For aid to provinces, cities, municipalities
	and municipal districts to help them meet their
	operating expenses for essential ordinary
	services: Provided, That each province, city,
	municipality or municipal district shall receive
	not less than fifty per centum of its average
	quarterly expenditures for essential ordinary
	services for the fiscal year ending June 30,
	1941; Provided, further, That if the data for
	the fiscal year 1941 are not available, the
	latest available data shall be used for this
	purpose. Any balance of this aid remaining
	unexpended on September 30, 1945, shall
	revert to the General Fund of the National
	Government	10,000,000.00

	Four Associate Justices at P15,000	15,000.00
	Four Private Secretaries at P3,600	3,600.00

SUNDRY EXPENSES

 

Rentals of buildings and grounds

P7,500.00

SECTION 2. The provisions of Commonwealth Act Numbered Six hundred and fifty-four, not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, are hereby reenacted and made part hereof.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July first, nineteen hundred and forty-five, unless otherwise stated.
