PROCLAMATION NO. 2189

AUTHORIZING THE NATIONAL MOVEMENT FOR THE CAUSE OF BLESSED LORENZO RUIZ DE MANILA AND COMPANION MARTYRS, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND DRIVE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR

WHEREAS, the National Movement for the cause of Blessed Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila and Companion Martyrs, Inc. will construct the Blessed Lorenzo Ruiz Center in Dagat-Dagatan, Navotas, Metro Manila to cater to spiritual, as well as temporal needs of the people living in said area; and

WHEREAS, the Movement needs the support of the public to enable it to accomplish the above project;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law. do hereby authorize the National Movement for the cause of Blessed Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila and Companion Martyrs, Inc. to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one year from the issuance of this proclamation.

All contributions and donations to the Movement shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall constitute allowable deductions for income tax purposes of the donors.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of. the Philippines to be affixed.
