Extension of the Deadlines for the Filing of Pleadings and Other Court Submissions with the Trial Courts

OCA CIRCULAR NO. 157-2021

| SUBJECT | : | Extension of the Deadlines for the Filing of Pleadings and Other Court Submissions with the Trial Courts |
Upon instructions of Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, and due to the adverse effects of super Typhoon Odette that hit hard many parts of the country, such as those in Region IV-B, Bicol Region, Regions 7, 8, 10 and the Caraga Region, resulting to extensive damage to government infrastructure and private property, including a number of halls of justice, as well as the severe disruption of power and communication services, the filing of any and all pleadings and other court submissions with the trial courts is SUSPENDED from December 20, 2021 to January 3, 2022.
Thereafter, the periods for filing any and all pleadings and other court submissions that fell due or would fall due during the above period are hereby EXTENDED for seven (7) calendar days counted from January 4, 2022, or until January 10, 2022.
