Extending the Period of Voting and Canvass for the July 27, 1973 Referendum
Presidential Decree No. 254, issued on July 24, 1973, by President Ferdinand E. Marcos, extends the voting period for the referendum scheduled on July 27, 1973, to July 28, 1973. This decision was made in response to concerns from the Commission on Elections about accommodating a large number of registered voters in one day. Additionally, the canvassing of votes will continue until deemed necessary by the Commission on Elections. The decree aims to ensure that all registered voters can fully exercise their right to participate in the referendum.
