Exemption of PDIC from Application of Rates or Maximum Limits of Expenses for Local Travels of Gov't. Employees
On December 21, 2000, a memorandum from the Philippine President directed that the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) be exempted from the local travel expense limits set for government employees by Executive Order No. 248. This decision was based on a recommendation from the Secretary of Finance. Consequently, the PDIC Board of Directors is granted the authority to establish their own rates or maximum limits for local travel expenses for PDIC staff.

MEMORANDUM FROM THE PRESIDENT

As recommended in your memorandum dated 15 December 2000, the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) is hereby exempted from the application of the rates or maximum limits of expenses for local travels of government employees fixed under E.O. No. 248 dated 29 May 1995.
The PDIC Board of Directors is hereby authorized to fix the rates or maximum limits for local travel expenses of PDIC staff.
