Establishment of the Bataan National School of Arts and Trades in Balanga, Bataan
Republic Act No. 903, enacted on June 20, 1953, establishes the Bataan National School of Arts and Trades in Balanga, Bataan. The law empowers the Director of Public Schools and the Secretary of Education to organize the school and set necessary regulations, offering junior college and secondary level courses. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 903
AN ACT TO ESTABLISH THE BATAAN NATIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BALANGA, PROVINCE OF BATAAN, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Director of Public Schools is hereby authorized and directed to establish a national school of arts and trades, of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades type, in the municipality of Balanga, Province of Bataan, which shall be called Bataan National School of Arts and Trades. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to organize the said school and to issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. Courses of junior college and secondary levels shall be offered in said school.
SECTION 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation and maintenance for the first school year and for the purchase of the necessary equipment thereof, after the approval of this Act, is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated. Thereafter, the necessary sum for said purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
