Establishment of Sinilian Vocational High School for Home Industries in Camiling, Tarlac

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5670

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SCHOOL FOR HOME INDUSTRIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAMILING, PROVINCE OF TARLAC, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. There shall be established under the supervision and administration of the Home Industries Division of the Bureau of Vocational Education a vocational high school for home industries in the Municipality of Camiling, Province of Tarlac, to be known as the Sinilian Vocational High School for Home Industries.

SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education is hereby authorized to determine its administration and to organize the curricular instruction therein.

SECTION 3. The school shall have the following functions:

a. Give home industries training to all people who wish to avail themselves at all times of the year of the facilities of the school. cdt

b. Study the efficient utilization of clay deposits, bamboos, and other abundant raw materials in the area for craft production.

c. Conduct researches on designing and processing of clay, bamboo and other indigenous materials; make small handtools and machines for training in skills and production.

d. Undertake standardization of ceramic and other craft products.

e. Give training in the production and marketing of ceramics, and other handicraft articles. cdt

f. Render consultant service in the chemistry and technology side of ceramic and craft production.

g. Give extension training in the barrios and other towns or service area of the province.

SECTION 4. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation, and maintenance of the Sinilian Vocational High School for Home Industries during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-eight-sixty-nine. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed of its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
