Establishment of Manila General Hospital

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3515

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A GENERAL HOSPITAL IN SAMPALOC, CITY OF MANILA, TO BE KNOWN AS THE MANILA GENERAL HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. There shall be established under the supervision of the Department of Health a general hospital in Sampaloc, City of Manila, to be known as the Manila General Hospital, at a site to be determined by the Secretary of Health.

SECTION 2. The sum of one million pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-three, including the purchase of the site and hospital equipment. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act, in accordance with the provision of section two, paragraph (A), of Republic Act Numbered One thousand nine hundred thirty-nine, otherwise known as the Hospital Financing Act for the City of Manila.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
