Establishment of Kalookan City First District Hospital

Republic Act No. 7785, enacted on August 8, 1994, establishes a fifty-bed hospital known as the Kalookan City First District Hospital in the First District of Kalookan City, Metro Manila. The Secretary of Health, in coordination with the City Mayor, is tasked with formulating the necessary rules for the hospital's operation. Funding for the hospital will be sourced from the General Appropriations Act starting the year following the law's enactment. Prior to construction, the Secretary of Health must ensure the appointment of personnel and the allocation of maintenance funds. The Act took effect upon its approval and lapsed into law without presidential signature.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7785

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A FIFTY-BED HOSPITAL IN THE FIRST DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF KALOOKAN, METRO MANILA, TO BE KNOWN AS THE KALOOKAN CITY FIRST DISTRICT HOSPITAL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. There shall be established a fifty-bed hospital in the First District of the City of Kalookan, Metro Manila, to be known as the Kalookan City First District Hospital.

SECTION 2. The Secretary of Health and/or his duly authorized representative, in consultation and coordination with the City Mayor of Kalookan, shall promulgate or issue such governing rules to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SECTION 3. The funds necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be charged against the appropriations authorized for the purpose under the General Appropriations Act of the year following the enactment of this Act and every year thereafter.

SECTION 4. Before the construction of the hospital, the Secretary of Health shall issue a written assurance that personnel of the hospital will be appointed and that funds for its maintenance and operation have been appropriated. cdt

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
