Republic Act No. 4845, enacted on June 18, 1966, establishes the Bais School of Fisheries in Barrio Okiot, Municipality of Bais, Negros Oriental, under the supervision of the Director of Vocational Education. The law allocates an initial fund of 250,000 pesos from the National Treasury for the school's establishment and operations for the fiscal year 1967. Future funding for its maintenance will be incorporated into the annual General Appropriations Act. The Act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on February 3, 1969.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4845

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SCHOOL OF FISHERIES IN BARRIO OKIOT, MUNICIPALITY OF BAIS, PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the direct supervision of the Director of Vocational Education, a school of fisheries in Barrio Okiot, Municipality of Bais, Province of Negros Oriental, to be known as the Bais School of Fisheries. cd

SECTION 2. The sum of two hundred fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said school during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-seven. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. acd

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
