REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1847
AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A NATIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES IN THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF NECESSARY FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
SECTION 1. The Director of Public Schools is hereby authorized and directed to establish a national school of arts and trades in the City of San Pablo, which will offer a trade technical curriculum for high school graduates, the four-year secondary trade curriculum, and trade opportunity courses.
SECTION 2. With the approval of the Secretary of Education, the Director of Public Schools shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated annually, out of any funds is the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purposes of this Act. If and when a peace treaty shall be entered into between the Philippines and Japan, the equipment necessary for this school shall be included in the reparations articles to be requisitioned from Japan.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
