Batas Pambansa Blg. 438, enacted on June 10, 1983, establishes a ten-bed municipal hospital in Maitum, South Cotabato, known as the Maitum Municipal Hospital. The hospital will operate under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, with initial funding not exceeding 750,000 pesos sourced from existing appropriations for hospital projects. Future operational and maintenance costs will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The law took effect immediately upon approval and was published in the Official Gazette on April 2, 1984.

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TEN-BED MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAITUM, PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO, TO BE KNOWN AS MAITUM MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be established under the direct supervision of the Office of the Minister, Ministry of Health, a ten-bed municipal hospital in the Municipality of Maitum, Province of South Cotabato, to be known as Maitum Municipal Hospital.
SECTION 2. The amount necessary for the construction and operation of the hospital not to exceed seven hundred fifty thousand pesos shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Health intended for new or expanded hospitals. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. cd
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
