Empowering the National Housing Authority to Issue Writ of Execution in Enforcement of Its Decision
Presidential Decree No. 1344, issued on April 2, 1978, empowers the National Housing Authority (NHA) in the Philippines to enforce its decisions regarding real estate matters, particularly those related to subdivision lot and condominium unit purchases. This decree addresses the previously inadequate enforcement mechanisms under Presidential Decree No. 957, allowing the NHA to hear cases involving unsound real estate practices and buyer claims. Decisions made by the NHA become final and executory after 15 days, with an option to appeal to the President within 30 days. Once a decision is final, the NHA can issue a writ of execution to enforce it, ensuring that buyers can seek redress effectively.
