SUPREME COURT ADMINISTRATIVE CIRCULAR NO. 124-07

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in a letter dated October 26, 2007 requests that judges open their courts on Monday, October 29, 2007 for possible big number of arrests for varied election offenses. EACTSH
In this connection, you are hereby DIRECTED to report to your respective stations on Monday, October 29, 2007. In RTC multiple sala stations, the Executive Judge shall assign one of the Presiding Judges of the branch. In multiple sala first level courts, the presiding judge of the designated special court to try and decide election contests involving elective barangay officials pursuant to Administrative Order No. 129-2007 dated August 15, 2007 shall report on duty. If there are two or more special courts, the Executive Judge shall assign by raffle one of the Presiding Judges thereat.
The Clerk of Court shall maintain a skeletal force to receive payment of legal fees or cash bonds or any other bonds that may be posted for any election offenses.
