Executive Order No. 822Jul 21, 2009Presidential Issuances

Executive Order No. 822, issued on July 21, 2009, mandates that the Deputy Executive Secretary for Finance and Administration of the Office of the President of the Philippines serve as an ex-officio member of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Board of Directors. This order is a continuation of the organizational changes initiated by Executive Order No. 330-A, which transferred PAGCOR from the Department of Finance to the Office of the President. The PAGCOR Board is required to report annually to the President on projects financed by the Corporation’s earnings, and the Executive Order reinforces the President’s authority to reorganize the national government as stipulated in the 1987 Revised Administrative Code. The order takes immediate effect and supersedes any conflicting regulations.
