LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 784

WHEREAS, the Office of the OMBUDSMAN to be known as TANODBAYAN, created under Presidential Decree No. 1487, is empowered to receive complaints from any person against any administrative agency, public official or employee for the purpose of determining their culpability; casia
WHEREAS, the TANODBAYAN is authorized to avail of the assistance of any government agency in the performance of its functions;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby direct:
(1) The National Intelligence and Security Authority shall, in addition to its functions under existing laws, serve as the intelligence arm of the TANODBAYAN.
(2) The Criminal Investigation Service and the National Bureau of Investigation shall, in addition to their functions provided by law, be the investigation arm of the TANODBAYAN. cdt
