MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 308

REQUEST FOR THE CONCURRENCE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES IN THE DEPUTATION OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENSURING FREE, ORDERLY, HONEST, PEACEFUL AND CREDIBLE CONDUCT OF THE FEBRUARY 2, 2010 PLEBISCITE TO RATIFY THE CONVERSION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BIÑAN, PROVINCE OF LAGUNA INTO A COMPONENT CITY PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9740 DATED OCTOBER 30, 2009

Pursuant to Section 2, (4) (c), Article IX of the Constitution, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby concur with Resolution No. 8727 of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), promulgated on December 21, 2009, in the deputation of law enforcement agencies and instrumentalities of the government including the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police for the purpose of ensuring free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible conduct of the February 2, 2010 plebiscite to ratify the conversion of the municipality of Biñan, Province of Laguna into a component city pursuant to Republic Act No. 9740 dated October 30, 2009. cACDaH

The foregoing law enforcement agencies and other concerned agencies are hereby directed to coordinate and cooperate with the Commission on Elections in the performance of their duties and functions.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
