OCA CIRCULAR NO. 95-14

 

The Department of Justice (DOJ) through its Secretary, Hon. Leila M. De Lima, has brought to the attention of this Office the issuance of DOJ Circular No. 14 which amended the DOJ Circular No. 4 dated 15 January 1991, the full text of which is expressly stated as follows:

In the interest of the service and pursuant to the provisions of existing laws, the 2nd paragraph, Section 3 of Department Circular No. 4 dated 15 January 1991, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:

"3. National prisoners in Region VII, particularly convicted detainees of the Cebu City Jail, and Region VIII — to be committed to the Leyte Regional Prison at Abuyog, Leyte".

Any prior circular from the Office of the Court Administrator on this matter which is contrary to the foregoing is hereby superseded.
