Declaring November 27 as Ninoy Aquino Day
Republic Act No. 8151, enacted on September 4, 1995, designates November 27 of each year as a special non-working public holiday in the Province of Tarlac, known as Ninoy Aquino Day. This holiday commemorates the birth anniversary of Benigno "Ninoy" S. Aquino, Jr., who was born and raised in Tarlac. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8151
AN ACT DECLARING NOVEMBER TWENTY-SEVEN EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF TARLAC, TO BE KNOWN AS NINOY AQUINO DAY
SECTION 1. In the commemoration of the birth anniversary of the late Benigno "Ninoy S. Aquino, Jr., who was born and raised in the Province of Tarlac, November twenty-seven of every year is hereby declared a social nonworking public holiday in the Province of Tarlac, to be known as Ninoy Aquino Day. cd
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
* Lapsed into law on September 04, 1995, without the signature of the President, in accordance with Article VI, Section 27 (1) of the Constitution.
