Declaring Monday, June 8, 2009, as Special (Non-Working) Day in the Province of Zamboanga Del Norte
Proclamation No. 1769, issued on May 15, 2009, declares Monday, June 8, 2009, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of Zamboanga del Norte. This designation is in recognition of the 57th Foundation Day anniversary of the province, allowing its residents to celebrate with appropriate ceremonies. The proclamation was made by Executive Secretary Eduardo R. Ermita, under the authority of then-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The intent is to provide the people the opportunity to commemorate this significant occasion.

PROCLAMATION NO. 1769
DECLARING MONDAY, JUNE 8, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE
WHEREAS, June 6, 2009, marks the 57th Foundation Day anniversary of the Province of Zamboanga del Norte;
WHEREAS, to enable the people of the Province of Zamboanga del Norte, celebrate the occasion, the Governor requested that Monday, June 8, 2009, be declared as special (non-working) day;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Zamboanga del Norte, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, June 8, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the Province of Zamboanga del Norte.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
