PROCLAMATION NO. 1844
DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 10, 2009 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GUMACA, PROVINCE OF QUEZON
WHEREAS, Monday, August 10, 2009 marks the commemoration of Lorenzo M. Tañada Day in the Municipality of Gumaca, Province of Quezon;
WHEREAS, Lorenzo M. Tañada, Sr. is regarded and recognized as a hero in his incessant fight to maintain democracy in the country;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Gumaca, Province of Quezon, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies. AaSHED
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, August 10, 2009 as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Gumaca, Province of Quezon.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 27th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Nine.
