PROCLAMATION NO. 2345
DECLARING SATURDAY, MARCH 31, 1984, AS "TEODORO M. KALAW DAY" IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITIES OF LIPA AND BATANGAS
WHEREAS, Saturday, March 31, 1984, marks the one hundredth birth anniversary of Teodoro M. Kalaw, a distinguished statesman, patriot, journalist, scholar and historian; and
WHEREAS, the people of the Province of Batangas, including its two cities, particularly Lipa City, the birthplace of the honoree, should be given full opportunity to celebrate with fitting ceremonies this historic event;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, March 31, 1984, as 'Teodoro M. Kalaw Day" in the province of Batangas and in the cities of Lipa and Batangas. It shall, however, be a regular working and school day.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
