DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 6 TO 12, 2009 AS "PAGDIRIWANG WEEK" IN CELEBRATION OF THE 111TH ANNIVERSARY OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE
WHEREAS, June 12, 2009 marks the celebration of the 111th anniversary of Philippine Independence;
WHEREAS, May 28 to June 12 was declared as National Flag Days, the historic period representing the collective effort of the Filipino Nation to attain independence;
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to declare the period from June 6 to 12, 2009 as "Pagdiriwang Week" in celebration of the 111th Anniversary of Philippine Independence; TDcEaH
WHEREAS, the declaration will complement the Filipino Heritage Festival featured in Seattle Center, USA and the 'Pagdiriwang 2009 — A Filipino Cultural & Arts' event on June 6 to 12, 2009 by the Filipino Cultural Heritage Society of Washington, USA.
